NASCAR Driver Ryan Preece Is Alive

NASCAR driver Ryan Preece is lucky to still be alive after his car was brutally overturned twelve times during a race in Florida.

Preece faced some major difficulties when racing in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs stock car event at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday night.

Preece's car abruptly cuts across the track with only six circuits remaining, takes off, flips over ten times, and finally comes to a rest in the infield.

Preece was helped out of his damaged automobile, which appeared to be on fire, by a medical team that arrived on the scene. Preece was loaded onto a stretcher and taken for medical attention to a nearby hospital.

Cause of Accident

The crash in the 16-car race, won by Chris Buescher, is still under investigation. Preece's defeat resulted in his elimination from the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.
